Step 3: Physical Examination Requirements for Fire Posts – Height Requirements: 165 cm. length, chest size 81.5 cm. (extendable to 85 cm), and a minimum weight of 50 kg. Male candidates must complete 1.6 kilometres in 6 minutes, while female candidates must complete 1.6 kilometres in 8 minutes, 26 seconds. The candidate must also lift a person weighing 63.5 kg and run 183 meters in 96 seconds. They will also have to do a 2.7m log jump and climb a 3m vertical rope.
Step 4: Written Exam – The written exam lasts for 2 hours and consists of 150 multiple choice questions, each worth 1 mark. There will be 50 questions covering general reasoning ability, 25 questions covering numerical aptitude, 25 questions covering general English, and 25 questions covering general awareness (50 questions). One-quarter of a mark will be subtracted for each wrong answer.
